2014 MATE ROV COMPETITION Mission Scenario Location: Northwestern Lake Huron, Thunder Bay. More than 50 shipwrecks within the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary (TBNMS). Scientist and conservation groups are needed. Map of the Great Lakes with Thunder Bay Map of Thunder Bay, highlighting the TBNMS and its shipwrecks 3

Mission Tasks Explore, document, and identify an unknown shipwreck. Collect microbial samples and measure conductivity of the groundwater emerging from a sinkhole.
