The Television show that we decided to work on and research is family guy. Family Guy first went on air in the UK in Seth Macfarlane created this show. We picked family guy because it is a popular show here in the UK Introduction of Family Guy
We asked fourteen people to take part in a survey to see how many of them liked family guy and how many of them didn’t like family guy. We did primary research to find out the information we needed because we found it out for ourselves. The data we obtain was quantitative because these results can be measured. To our disappointment our results was not reliable People who didn’t like family guy were 7.2% People who did like family guy were 92.8% The most popular character is Stewie. To find our secondary research we went onto the BARB website, BARB is a website were you can find out information of a television program and also they tell you the viewing figures. To find out the information on the BARB website, we clicked onto the “Top 30s” and we choose the date and channel for our show. The Viewing Figures For the television show we chose ‘Family Guy” are: 1,166,000 people watched on Sunday at 22:01 and on the same day at 22:23 only 681,000 people watched; 696,000 people watched on Saturday at 23:03; 690,000 people watched on Wednesday 22:53; 680,000 people watched on Monday 23:03. What we found surprising on the result is there are two shows on the Sunday and a lot more people watched on the earlier time. Results of Secondary Research
