Using Pronouns and Verbs Correctly Houghton Mifflin Text p. 216-217 I screams, You screams, We all screams for ice cream! Using Pronouns and Verbs Correctly Houghton Mifflin Text p. 216-217

I screams? You screams? We all screams? We know that subject pronouns can be the subject of a sentence. We must choose the correct verb form to use with subject pronouns. Let’s try again!

I scream! You scream! We all scream for ice cream! That’s more like it! Remember these rules: Add –s or –es to a verb in the present when the subject is he, she, or it. Do not add –s or –es to a verb in the present when the subject is I, you, we, or they.

Choose the correct verb form to complete each sentence. They (like, likes) eggs for breakfast. You (buy, buys) twelve eggs. I (crack, cracks) six eggs in half. She (add, adds) some milk. We (mix, mixes) the eggs in a bowl. He (get, gets) the frying pan. You (pour, pours) the eggs into the pan. Click each ice cream sundae to see the correct answer.

Which line has a mistake? We see some balloons. They floats over the trees. You jump for the silver balloon. (no mistakes) A B C D

Which line has a mistake? I take the balloon with the red string. She reach for the biggest balloon. It breaks with a pop. (no mistakes) A B C D

Which line has a mistake? He find a message inside the balloon. It tells about the children in another town. They read it together. (no mistakes) A B C D
