Corporate Worship Men and Women in public worship. I Timothy 2:8-15

I. The Approach to Praying in Corporate Worship for the Men : (vs.8) The Characterization of the Activities of Life: “Lift up Holy hands” (I Kings 8:22; Neh 8:6; Psalm 63:4; 132:2; 141:2) HOLY = unpolluted, unstained by evil. Totally consecrated toward God.

II. The Admonishment in Corporate Worship for Women: (vs.9-15) ‘artificial glamour versus the beauty of a quiet spirit’ (vs.9) 1 st Century Jewish woman: “Quiet” (not disruptive, not meddling in others business.) NOT SILENT.

Life Steps Men should see the value of prayer in the mindset of surrender. Men should see the value of prayer in the mindset of surrender.
