Alliteration Definition: Example: Three gray geese in as green field grazing. Gray were the geese and green was the grazing.

Allusion Definition:Example: Christy didn’t like to spend money. She was no scrooge, but she seldom purchased any thing except the bare necessities.

Assonance Definition:Example: I lie down by the side of my bride.

Consonance Definition:Example: Buckets of big blue berries

Hyperbole Definition:Example: My dog is so ugly, he only has two friends.

Imagery Definition:Example: The moon shined bright on the road’s slippery gaze.

Metaphor Definition:Example: The assignment was a breeze.
