Asis AdvancedTCA Class Front blades and RTM FRU stand for Field Replaceable Unit, front blade is a third party blade (must be ATCA compliant), that the client can insert into the Chassis and RTM stand for Rear Transition Module, it is user define module either connects to the front blade as a Plate or cable connected. FRU is Any entity (Component) that can be replaced by a user in the field and RTM is component (plate) assembly installed into the rear portion of a Shelf and mate with a Front Board through Zone 3 connectors to provide Rear I/O Connectivity.
