Pilot Assessments - Flying the plane while attaching the wings… New Assessments: are available in the following subject/licensure fields: Elementary Literacy Elementary Mathematics Secondary English/Language Arts Secondary History/Social Science Secondary Mathematics Secondary Science Coming Soon: These handbooks will be released in mid to late September: Special Education Early Childhood Development Middle Grades English/Language Arts Middle Grades History/Social Science Middle Grades Mathematics Middle Grades Science Visual Art, Performing Arts (Music, Dance, and Theater Physical Education World Languages. TPAC Assessments we piloted : Elementary Literacy Elementary Mathematics Secondary English/Language Arts Secondary History/Social Science Secondary Mathematics Secondary Science Pilot Group: MCE Student Teachers assess according to grade level Special Education Student Teachers

TPAC Supervisor Responsibilities and Expectations  Take the lead for explaining different parts of the assessment package  Contact classroom teacher and principal to explain requirements of project, videotaping, and early release on seminar days  Be present on seminar days to assist, advise, and critique  Possibly videotape in the classroom  Score projects

TPAC Ideas for future implementation and support:  Embed ideas from TPAC into methods block assignments, specifically Academic Language, reflective practices  Reserve classrooms on different campuses (Middletown, Hamilton, Voice of America) for student work space; assign a supervisor to each location  Repeat Videotaping seminar; reserve cameras  Repeat uploading seminar  Train all supervisors in scoring
