This section will focus on updates to the Academic Performance Section of the Elementary Report Card

 Grades 1through 6 merged into one report card template  Page layout reduced to standard paper size Grades 1-2 Grades 3-6 Grades 1-6

 Grading scales updated  Subject areas updated  Section added for Language Acquisition

 Grading scales were updated to reflect current terminology and clarity of understanding Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grades 1-2 Previous Advanced4 Skilled3 Basic Understanding2 Needs Improvement1 Updated Mastery4 Proficient3 Emerging Understanding2 Needs Improvement1

 An additional section was added to document student learning in English as a Second Language and Second Language Acquisition Programs  Information used on this scale is a holistic rating based upon common second language acquisition scales currently in use.  The following subjects have been updated on the Pre-K report card to reflect alignment with future grade levels ◦ Physical Education ◦ Fine Art ◦ Technology ◦ English Language Arts  Information supporting understanding for these subject areas can be found in the Curriculum Road Maps

 In Kindergarten through Grade 6, Language Arts has been updated to reflect new standards and reduce redundancy

This section focuses on updates to the Comments Section of the Elementary Report Card

 Information about students working ABOVE or BELOW grade level should now be indicated in this comments section

This section will focus on updates to the Personal Development Section of the Elementary Report Card

 Updated to reflect age-level personal behavior skills  Physical activity specifically added to support student health and wellness

This section focuses on updates to the Academics Support Section of the Elementary Report Card

 Content area information updated to reflect changes in standards

 Rubric added to support understanding for Pre-K through Grade 2 updated performance scale

 Rubric added for new English as a Second Language and Second Language Acquisition performance scale (Pre-K through Grade 6)
