ATTRACTIONS The Nariz del Diablo, or “Devil’s Nose,” describes the train line between the towns of Alausi and Sibambe. The track gets its name from the great cost of human life that it took to complete the train line. One of the most astounding engineering projects ever undertaken in the mountainous Andes, the stretch of track offers visitors sweeping panoramic views of the countryside. A series of switchbacks slowly takes the train up a steep ascent to Alausi.

The Galápagos Islands and their surrounding waters form an Ecuadorian province, a national park, and a biological marine reserve. The principal language on the islands is Spanish. The islands have a population of slightly over 25,000. [1] The islands are famed for their vast number of endemic species and were studied by Charles Darwin during the voyage of the Beagle. His observations and collections contributed to the inception of Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection. Most of the men work as Fishermen which has always been an important source of income for Galapagos families. This activity is done on small boats and could be called sustainable. But since 1970 Galapagos Tourism is becoming more and more an important source of income to these Islands. In general costumes are very similar to the ones practiced in mainland Ecuador, people is very warm, friendly and always willing to help visitors. If you enjoy snorkeling, fishing, kayaking or scuba diving, then the Galapagos is definitely the place for you. With a stunning array of marine life, these islands offer some world class scuba diving and snorkeling for novices as well as experts. Swim underwater with Hammerhead sharks, Garden eels, penguins, sea lions, manta rays, whales and a host of brightly colored fish among some of the most pristine coral reefs in the world. Some of the best dive spots of the Galapagos are around Isla Darwin and Isla Wolf. However, fishing in the Galapagos has been temporarily halted by local authorities, due to the problem of over fishing by local fishermen.scuba diving islandsIsla DarwinIsla Wolf ACTIVITIES
