Video in Maths The “Hand of God” series!

What makes the biggest difference moving your mark from 50/100 to 80/100? (Typically C to A) When teachers show me how to do the harder exam questions. ( Request for spoon feeding? ) Do you want general video content (explanation of concepts) or specific video content of exam material? Something I can watch the night before the exam, which is likely to boost my grade. What is wrong with the teachers current explanation of harder questions? He/She might do it in April or earlier, but that is not always useful a few days before the exam in June. If you missed the lesson, or just “didn’t get it” there might not be chance to repeat it. It is often at the teacher’s/class pace, not my pace. Is the quality of video important – It is hard for school’s to meet Hollywood production values! Quality not that important, but it must be done well enough to be of use – teacher video/speech better than student video/speech.

In the exam all I will have is my pen and the thoughts in my brain, and all my marks come from what I write down. I need something enabling me to maximise my output with just that. When I say I get something, I think I do, and Miss/Sir often believe me, but what I write down isn’t often enough to get all the marks – and sometimes hardly any at all. The Mark Scheme’s provide some of the answer’s, but very little explanation – it is like they are the minimum necessary for an expert to get it. I need to see the direct link between what I write and the marks.
