CHEM-0-PARDY Unit 1

Rules 1. Mrs. Hurley makes all of the rules. 2. In the event of a tie, ruling goes to Mrs. Hurley. 3. Concerns, questions… see rule #1.

To play: 1. A team will select an available category and point value. 2. All teams will write a response in the form of a question. 3. The first team with the correct answer earns the points and chooses the next answer. 4. Points will be deducted for incorrect responses. (But only if you are called.)

To answer: 1. The team scribe may start writing your team’s response when Mrs. Hurley finishes reading the question. 2. For all responses, all teams will write the response in the form of a question on their dry erase board. 3. When you have finished writing, put down your dry erase board and your marker. 4. Each team member must raise their hands to signify the team has completed their answer. 5. The first team that Mrs. Hurley deems ready will be called on first. 6. The first team with the correct answer earns points and gets to choose the next question.

Let’s begin.

Byrd and Snuphy collected the following data during their density of copper lab. Based on a quantitative error analysis, he would be the better lab partner.

Who is Byrd? Click Anywhere to Continue SnuphyByrd average accepted value 8.92 absolute error relative absolute error (%) Byrd's relative error is less than Snuphy's relative error so Byrd's data is more accurate. standard deviation relative standard deviation (%) Byrd's relative standard deviation is less than Snuphy's, so Byrd has more precision.
