(1) Overview Previous Week and Current Week: – Questions from previous weeks. ( 上周遗留问题 ) – Optimization algorithm update. ( 优化更新 ) Tasks in Progress: – Development of GUI and establishing link between SEAS GUI and algorithm. ( 介面跟算法之间的连接 ) – Input Sheet creation. – Scenarios for December meeting.

(2) Previous week questions MATLAB and VBA Bridge (MATLAB 和 VBA 的连 接 ) Loading and unloading situation from the proposed schedule. ( 排程中卸上卸下问题处 理 ) To include material availability as an input. ( 材 料到位情况的输入 )

(3) Overtime Optimization Overtime – Currently this is an input by the user but we are in the process of changing it to be one of the optimized variables. – The algorithm will only propose overtime for machines being utilized in the current month. – Things to consider: Constraints on overtime: Total amount of overtime allowed in a month? What days do we add the suggest overtime to? Suggest overtime only for critical machines.

(4) Batch Size Optimization Similar to the overtime, this will also be an optimized value. The optimized batch sizes will be multiples of 6. We plan to implement this by keep a track of the amount of parts completed in each work order (Ex. 7 and 8). Once the total parts reach a certain threshold value we will then begin the production of the next work order (11 in this scenario).
