MONITORING & EVALUATING How do you know your training programme is working?

When should you Monitor your training programme? You should continually monitor your training programme (REGULAR MONITORING). Purposeful monitoring should take place half way through your programme and at the end of your programme.

Why Monitor Training? Able to check on progress Able to make correct adjustments to training programme using progressive overload Able to check and see if I have met my goals/targets. Remember to give examples of each of these when answering questions on this topic.

How do you Monitor Training? Use exactly the same methods of data collection as you carried out at the beginning. Observation Schedules (Initial & Focussed) Video of Performance Knowledge of Results Refelctions of Performance Max Jones Quad Test

How do you Monitor Training? Compare results from data collection methods. Note improvement/pla teau/ deterioration.
