Math Fifth grade is a year of growing into becoming efficient mathemacticians. There are five objectives in math: 1. Numbers and Operations 2. Algebraic Reasoning 3. Geometry and Measurement 4. Data Analysis 5. Personal Financial Literacy Process Standards Embedded throughout!

MATH HOMEWORK Goes home every Monday and is due on Friday of that week. This includes a variety of math concepts and problem solving practice. It doesn’t always directly tie to the current curriculum, but is a review of learned material. Spiral Reviews How can I help my child? Check over their weekly homework and help them with questions or misconceptions. Encourage students to utilize all resources on the Netschool page to improve areas for growth. Preview the videos each week to prepare for the weeks lessons. Netschool Resources This is regularly updated with the curriculum content including study resources and games.

Science Homework There will not be homework sent home on a regular basis. All homework assignments are sent home as needed. Students will write these in their planners when they are assigned. There is also a forum to describe these projects. Please check my netschool page for the parent briefings, slideshows, and extra videos. Review these with your child as they are added to the page. Encourage them to advocate for themselves by coming to me with questions about grades, class curriculum, homework, etc.
