Project Two – Two Minute Video on a Chemical Reaction For this project you are going to create a two minute Video on a Chemical Reaction.

Project Two – Two Minute Video on a Chemical Reaction You and your group will look at a common chemical reaction and produce a short video. I will provide the means for you to produce your video. You will supply the elements that will go into the video. You video must include stoichiometry calculations including number of moles, mass, volume, and particles.

Project Two – Two Minute Video on a Chemical Reaction You will be assigned into groups of four students. You will then decide among yourselves, which of four roles you will play

Project Two – Two Minute Video on a Chemical Reaction The Animator is responsible for the visual elements. These can be pictures, drawings, or computer images

Project Two – Two Minute Video on a Chemical Reaction The Narrator is responsible for writing text to be read while the artwork is being videotaped. They will also be the voice on the video

Project Two – Two Minute Video on a Chemical Reaction The Director is responsible for learning how to use the video equipment and directing the production of the video

Project Two – Two Minute Video on a Chemical Reaction The Producer is responsible for completing a daily progress report, ensuring that all tasks are completed, and maintaining back-up copies of all materials. No one can leave the class until the daily progress report is submitted to Mr. Adolfo.

Project Two – Two Minute Video on a Chemical Reaction The Burning of Natural Gas (Methane) CH O 2 → CO H 2 O Photosynthesis 6 CO H 2 O → C 6 H 12 O O 2 Creation of Acid Rain SO 2 + H 2 O → H 2 SO 3

Project Two – Two Minute Video on a Chemical Reaction Combustion of Ethanol C 2 H 5 OH + O 2 → 2CO 2 + H 2 O Reaction of Sodium and Water 2 Na + 2 H 2 O > 2 NaOH + H 2 Cellular Respiration C 6 H 12 O O 2 → 6 CO H 2 O

Project Two – Two Minute Video on a Chemical Reaction Carbonation Reaction H 2 CO 3 → CO 2 + H 2 O Formation of Rust 4 Fe > 2Fe 2 O 3 Fermentation Reaction C 6 H 12 O 6 → 2CH 3 CH 2 OH + 2CO 2

Project Two – Two Minute Video on a Chemical Reaction Your project will be assessed using four criteria: Creativity (25 points) Completeness (25 points) Accuracy (25 points) Technical Quality (25 points) Rubric will be supplied
