4 9 th grade teachers: Team taught, 2 teachers per team; smaller number of students in 9 th grade classes than in other grades. Counselors: All counselors will be involved with students through Advisory assignments. Administrators: The 9 th grade principal works to facilitate transition into the high school. Advisors: the HR advisor follows the students through graduation 9 th Grade

6 Ninth Grade Core classes are scheduled for ½ of the year (one semester). Students who are scheduled for multiple math or science classes will have math or science in the fall and spring. Electives may be scheduled for 9 (quarter) or 18 (semester) weeks.

7 Supporting Student Achievement: Lab Classes in Readingare designed to assist all students in reaching high expectations. Students are assigned to these classes based on 8 th grade teacher recommendations and standardized test scores. Ninth Grade

21 To Graduate 27 credits (4 English, 4 Social Studies, 4 Math, 4 Science) Students are required to schedule a minimum of 6.5 credits each year Competitive colleges Advanced coursework in Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies World Languages Most colleges require at least 2 years
