Creating an Action Button in PowerPoint XP You will need to create all of your slides first. Then you are ready to start making buttons!

Creating an Action Button  Select the “Insert” tab.  Click “Shapes” from the menu.  Scroll to the bottom for the Action Buttons

Creating an Action Button  Select an action button from the menu  You will be returned to the screen with a set of cross hairs.  Click and drag the cross hairs to create a button.

Creating an Action Button  The action settings menu will appear.  Click the “Hyperlink to:” radio button

Creating an Action Button  Select “Slide…” from the menu list of options  Select which slide you want to hyperlink to and Click “OK”

Creating an Action Button  You now have an action button on screen.  You can format your button to match your presentation.  Click on the button to select it.

Creating an Action Button  To add text to your button, right click on the button and select “edit text”.  To edit the button, right-click on the button and select format shape
