When do we use the presente progresivo?  To express an action that is happening right now—an action in progress.  -ing expressions  The present tense also expresses this: Yo hablo  I talk, I am talking Nosotros hacemos  we make, we are making

How do you form presente progresivo?  1 st step: Take a conjugated form of “estar” EstoyEstamos EstásX EstáEstán

How do you form presente progresivo?  2 nd step: add the present participle.  The present participle, participio presente, is the “-ing” of the sentence.  To form the participio presente: Chop of the –ar/-er/-ir Add –ando (for –ar), -iendo (for –er/-ir)

Participio Presente  Change the following verbs to their present participle: Comer  Bailar  Venir  Trabajar  Vivir  Subir  Entrar 

The formula: EstoyEstamos EstásX EstáEstán + -ar  ando -er/-ir  iendo
