There is an alternate assignment in Semester 1 – the Literary Analysis Chart for the Novel you chose. You will find the alternate assignment on the announcement page. You will complete the chart and attach it to assessment There is also an alternate assignment in Semester 2 – the Character Analysis Chart for Romeo and Juliet. You will find the alternate assignment on the announcement page. You will complete the chart and attach it to assessment 7.03
First Semester Students: Since you are in Learning Recovery, you can use one of the novels that you have read in an English or Reading class in the past year. Your teacher must approve the novel you want to use for module 3. If you have not read a novel, you must choose one of the choices in lesson Second Semester Students: You will be reviewing Romeo and Juliet. You should have already read this play. If you haven’t you must read it (provided online) in order to do module 7.
Honors Credit First Semester Honors Students: You will need to read Lord of the Flies and do the 0.0 Pre-reading assignment. You can use Lord of the Flies for the assignments in module 3 as well. You also have to complete the Honors Components in module 3 and 4. Second Semester Honors Students: You will need to complete the Honors Components in module 5, Module 6 and module 7.
*Students will work weekly in the course (3 – 4 assignments per week) *Students should be able to complete in a 4 week time frame *Students are required to receive an 80% on all written work and 60% or above on all tests and quizzes. (Students may resubmit any assignments to raise their grade after receiving teacher feedback.) *Students can set up weekly meetings with their teacher to review progress and ensure timely completion of the Discussion Based Assessments This is a great opportunity!
