Lesson 61 Subject-verb agreement Today we will learn how to pick the right verb to match with a subject. Today we will learn how to pick the right verb to match with a subject. Singular = ONE (single) Singular = ONE (single) Plural = MORE THAN ONE Plural = MORE THAN ONE Singular subject need singular verbs. Singular subject need singular verbs. Plural subjects need plural verb. Plural subjects need plural verb. Ex: of the girls her own gear. Ex: Each one of the girls brings her own gear.

Copy notes: EITHER EITHER NEITHER NEITHER EACH EACH *Are all SINGULAR, they equal ONE of the boys brought gear. Each of the boys brought HIS gear. of the twins curled hair. Neither of the twins curled HER hair. Jim or Bill will read report. Either Jim or Bill will read HIS report.
