Thomas Redd Poetic Hoopa By: A Future Pro Basketball Player

Poem It's funny how you go from nothing to something A nobody to a somebody Last pick to 1st round draft Discovering your own book Your own legacy I'm constantly asked "Who you model your game after?" Or I'm constantly being told "You play like so and so" When I just want to be me Basketball is my strawberry

You win some You learn some, i said You win some You'll earn some Making my own legendary path Starting late But finishing strong Majestically one with the game Poetically one with the work I won't stop until I'm given what I deserve My story will be told Called the Poetic Hoopa

Free Verse
