African Americans The African Americans Came To America in 1619 Because They Were forced from their homes and traded for food. The Colonists Traded 20 Africans for food. The African Americans Came form Africa. The African Americans Settled in Virgina,North Carolina,South Carolina,Georgia,Alabama,Mississippi and Louisiana.

African Americans The African Americans provided foods such as corn bread, black-eyed peas, collard greens and yams. They also contributed new words, gifts and other cool stuff.

Asian Americans In 1848, a worker discovered gold in California. News of the discovery attracted the first Chinese immigrants to the United States. Not all Asians were welcomed to the new country. Between 1850 and 1882, many Chinese came to the U.S to work. Next came the Japanese, Korea, and the Philippine Islands.
