CTE Bell Work Week of August 18

Mon, Aug. 18 Pronouns: Play the following music video for students. Students should, working with a partner, keep a running list of the pronouns they hear in the song. You can also have them try to tally the pronouns. Refer to the worksheet I attached for a list of pronouns, or provide it for students to look at as they listen.

Tues/Wed, Aug O An adjective modifies a noun. Adjectives describe a quality of the noun. O Read the story to the right. Write all the adjectives on your paper. Wrong address: A couple was going on vacation, but the wife was on a business trip; so the husband went to the destination first, and his wife would meet him the next day. When he reached his hotel, he decided to send his wife a quick . Unfortunately, when typing her address, he mistyped a letter and his note was directed instead to an elderly preacher’s wife whose husband had passed away only the day before. When the grieving widow checked her , she took one look at the monitor, let out a piercing scream, and fell to the floor in a dead faint. At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen: Dearest Wife, Just got checked in. Everything prepared for your arrival tomorrow. P.S. Sure is hot down here.
