Our Vision: A world in which all communities have the capacity to meet their basic human needs.

Why? One billion people lack access to safe drinking water Two-thirds of the people without an improved water source live on less than $2 per day Water-related diseases cause 3.5 million deaths annually Children under 14 make up 84% of those deaths Only 62% of the world’s population has access to improved sanitation Deaths due to diarrheal disease could be reduced by two-thirds with proper sanitation education

Our Projects: El Salvador – Water Project Kenya – Water Project Wind Turbine Habitat for Humanity

El Salvador El Naranjito, Las Mercedes, and La Cumbre Present

The need 150 coffee farming families scattered across mountain ridges Community members forced to hike several hours per day to collect water from springs Poor water quality caused diarrhea and other water-related illnesses Varying circumstances/need for each household

Our Solutions Rainwater catchments installed at a school serving 100 children Gravity fed system now benefits 20 households 40 families received Potters for Peace water filters that kill 99.8% of bacteria Washing stations Sanitation education Community Water Board formed

Lela, Migori District, Kenya Adopted January 2009

The Community 400 locals surrounding farmers Average income is less than $1 per month No running water or electricity Current water source is 3 km away in Bondo PICTURE

Assessment in September Health, sanitation and hygiene survey Geographic survey Water quality testing Connect and build friendships with locals Survey possible water sources Feasibility, sustainability, community involvement

Long Term Commitment Our mission: to support community-driven development programs worldwide through the design and implementation of sustainable engineering projects, while fostering responsible leadership.
