A Male Peafowl (peacock)A Female Peafowl (peahen)  The peacock weighs about 8 and 13 pounds, and its feather trail is almost 5 feet long.  A peacock has 150 to 200 greenish feathers.  At the end of each feather is a bright mark that looks like an eye.  A peahen is much more dull than a peacock.  Peahens have shorter feathers than peacocks.  Peahens don’t have beautiful colors just white, brown, and black.

 An Indian peafowl usually eats something like insects, worms, snails, frogs, snakes, grasses, and different kinds of crops.

 Wild Indian Peafowl live in small groups. Peafowls are weak flyers. The Indian Peafowl can live from 20 to 24 years.  Some people say the Indian Peafowl is more interesting than the Green Peafowl. Green Peafowl
