Neamt County has significant fresh water resources and underground water.

Izvorul Muntelui Lake – also known as Bicaz Lake is an accumulation lake built on the middle of the Bistrita river, 4 km upstream of Bicaz town.

Batca Doamnei Lake is located at 325 meters altitude and it is an important landscape element of Piatra Neamt city because of its birdlife – protecting purpose. It also offers wonderful views. From here, you can admire the city on one side and Mount Ceahlau in all its beauty, on the other side.

Batca Doamnei Lake alongside with Pangarati and Vaduri Lakes are great areas for birds in their route from the East Carpathian migration corridor to the South of Europe. It is an important link in maintaining the biodiversity and natural habitats throughout the eastern part of the European continent.

The Siret River (Серет in Ukrainian, szeret in Hungarian - "dear one" in translation ) is a river that runs through the territory of Ukraine and Romania and it flows into the Danube river.

The springs of Siret River are situated in the Carpathian Mountains in Northern Bukovina (now Chernovtsy region of Ukraine), at m altitude. Its beginnings lie near the Şipotele town (in Vijnita district).

Romania has poor water resources of 1700 t / inhabitant, compared with the European average of t / inhabitant. Water consumers are: industry, agriculture, domestic consumption, transportation services. This is the purpose of water and its importance to us. Every drop counts!
