Draft for Discussion & Policy Purposes Only Project Overview Three connected bridges in Haverhill, MA - Merrimack River, North Approach, and Washington St. Bridges; 12 spans total: 1,042 feet. Used by MBTA Commuter Rail, Amtrak Downeaster, and Pan Am freight. Daily service includes approximately 36 passenger trains and 10 freight trains.
