Purpose To Encourage awareness in K-12 students To Encourage awareness in K-12 students – Of the effect trash has on the environment and – How recycling can help the environment Goal Goal is for K-12 students to is for K-12 students to – Understand What Recycling is – Get involved in recycling programs – Develop own programs – Help make earthly decisions Making these decisions can contribute in assisting the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), National Recycling Coalition (NRC), NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC)- Bureau of Solid Waste Reduction & Recycling, NYC Department of Sanitation, and New York City Borough Presidents.
