Six different important steps!

1. After using the restroom 2. Coughing and sneezing 3. Touching your eyes, nose, or mouth 4. Before food preparation 5. After playing any sport 6. After exercising 7. After recess 8. Before you eat ** Can you think of anymore situations that you should wash your hands?

** Many people when they are washing their hands miss important areas to scrub. Some of these areas include: o Nail beds o Thumbs o Creases on palm o In-between fingers o Very tops of fingers See picture for visual help!

1. Can help prevent sicknesses such as the cold and the flu. 2. Help prevent the spreading of germs 3. Can prevent food-borne illnesses ( Can get sick when food is prepared in a non-clean environment) 4. Can keep you healthy! 5. Helps prevent germs 6. Helps prevent bacteria ** Many germs and bacteria love to live on your hands!! That’s why it is important that you wash your hands as often as you need to!**

1. How often should you wash your hands? a. Any time I feel like b. As often as I should, (when using restroom, coughing sneezing, etc.) c. Only after I use the rest room d.
