Basic Science in Hand Surgery Fellowship FESSH invites established researchers performing basic science research related to reconstructive hand surgery to apply for a research fellowship. The fellowship aims at allowing a research-oriented young hand surgeon or resident in hand surgery to spend a few months in an experimental hand surgery environment and complete a defined research project. The fellowship is supposed to provide opportunities for a clinical doctor interested in research to work together with a team of experts and actively take part in planning, designing and performing an experimental research project, Eligibility: The application process is open to academic hand surgeons working in a EU/EEA country and actively devoting time to experimental research. Applicant should be willing to host a candidate (working in Europe) of their choice for a suitable duration necessary to complete a research task. Length and value of tenure: A stipend of Euro will be awarded for a 3-6 months fellowship devoted to full-time research during Deadline for application: November 20, 2012 – Decisions will be made at the FESSH Council Meeting in late November 2012.
