What is the ILF? QI Improvement Training from the AHA/HRET – 3 rd year training is being offered Designed to help hospitals reduce Harm Across the Board Focused on the Science of Improvement Combined peer-to-peer and self-guided learning 2

Who Should Participate? Anyone working on a Partners for Patients initiative or likely to lead other QI work – Initiative Leads – QI Staff – RNs, Pharmacists, other frontline staff Receiving support to complete Fellowship (~5 month) 3

Benefits of Participation World-Class quality improvement training from IHI (Institute for Healthcare Improvement) No Fee for hospitals in HRET HEN Learn from other hospitals reducing Harm Across the Board CEU credits Access to IHI Open School 4

Expectations of Participation 1.Attend 8 Monthly Webinars 2.Complete a Harm Across the Board Template for your Hospital (one per hospital) 3.Select a Participation Level – Junior, Senior, or Champion a.Complete appropriate IHI Open School ModulesComplete appropriate IHI Open School Modules 4.Participate in LISTSERV® discussions 5.Attend Year End Celebration 5

Junior Fellow Curriculum Requirements Apply basic concepts of the Science of Improvement Work as a team member on larger improvement teams 6

Senior Fellow Curriculum Requirements  Manage local, focused projects  Work with Champion to lead organization-wide work 7

Champion Curriculum Requirements Lead improvement projects and teams Mentor and coach Junior/Senior Fellows Serve as a “voice from the field” during ILF meetings 8
