Global national disasters Written by Edrissa Ken-Joof “In the last six months, our world has experienced natural disasters never before experienced in such a magnitude in human history.” “The Tsunami disaster which hit the coast of India, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and many of the islands in the Indian Ocean and in south-east Asia killed several thousands of people. The full toll is yet to be known but it is estimated that some 250,000 people lost their lives.” “Whilst the world is still recovering from the shock of the Tsunami, a hurricane hit the Caribbean and devastated the city of New Orleans, killed thousands and left millions homeless. That was hurricane Katrina. As the US begins to recover from hurricane Katrina, cyclones also hit Japan, China and Korea leaving death and destruction in these countries.” “No sooner have we recovered from cyclones and tidal waves in south-east Asia and in the Americas, a severe and brutal earthquake hit India and Pakistan killing some 40,000 people and leaving millions homeless.” In our wonderful community, the terror that comes with natural disasters is eliminated. There is no weather, no extreme cold or heat. There are no natural disasters like hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes, etc. People don’t get hurt and if they do we medication to help them. We try to eliminate all potential problems in this community. natural disasters - or not

no warfare People would not loose their lives in war, and they would be able to live their lives in peace at the Giver Community They could work things out without resorting to violence due to our rules People would never have to be in fear for their lives or property War causes unrest and problems, and since this community is perfect, there is no war “War is a state of widespread conflict between states, organizations, or relatively large groups of people, which is characterized by the use of violent, physical force between combatants or upon civilians. Other terms for war, which often serve as euphemisms, include armed conflict, hostilities, and police action (see limitations on war below). War is contrasted with peace, which is usually defined as the absence of war.” en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War

An article on states, “ AIDS is an acronym for Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome or Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome and is defined as a collection of symptoms and infections resulting from the depletion of the immune system caused by infection with the human immunodeficiency virus, commonly called HIV. Although treatments for both AIDS and HIV exist, there is no known cure. AIDS is thought to have originated in sub-Saharan Africa during the twentieth century and is now a global epidemic. UNAIDS and the WHO estimate that AIDS has killed more than 25 million people since it was first recognized in 1981, making it one of the most destructive epidemics in recorded history. In 2005 alone, AIDS claimed an estimated 3.1 million (between 2.8 and 3.6 million) of which more than half a million (570,000) were children.”acronym human immunodeficiency virussub-Saharan AfricaUNAIDS1981 Our community will never have any disease or sickness. There will be no way to acquire it. Any diseased persons shall be released immediately. We will ensure that if you live here, you will never get sick, we have always been proud to give the very best to our people.

Our community is the best by far because we don’t have any natural disasters, disease, or warfare. We pride ourselves on having a totally orderly community with no differences; with differences come disaster. Individuality brings war over differences of beliefs. Overall, our community is the best and we want you to come to have the best life possible.
