AfDB Action Plan for Youth Employment April 2012

 The actions proposed are meant to provide an informed and effective support to RMCs in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of policies and programs promoting productive and job-rich growth for youth in Africa.  They are planned to be implemented in  They are classified in five groups:

1. Mainstreaming youth employment into Bank’s Operations:  Designing mainstreaming tools for operations and CSPs  Pilot operations in 5 countries  Study on the job creation outcomes of AfDB operations  Training Bank’s staff  To start asap in 2012

2. Knowledge production a) Mapping, country diagnostic in 10 countries b) LMIS for 10 countries c) Contribution to the continental observatory  To start asap in 2012

3. Resource mobilization;  AU Resource Mobilization Strategy Report To be presented at the AU Summit in July 2012

4. Advocacy a) Website and blogs b) Support to AU Youth Innovation Fund and Youth Talent Day c) Meetings d) Communication
