4 MAIN TYPES OF PRINTMAKING Relief--printing from a raised surface (ex. Rubber stamp, woodblock) Intaglio--printing from a cut surface (cutting into the printing plate, then inking and printing the lines) Lithography--printing from a flat surface (drawing with a greasy substance, grease absorbs ink) Serigraphy--printing with a stencil (also known as screen-printing)
