 You need a basic photo of yourself  Decided which cartooning style you want to recreate your self image  Use pencil, markers or watercolor paint, or a combination of all three. Let’s review cartoon styles…

 One of the easiest styles to create a self portrait  Follow the same set up you used to create anime characters and then add your features

 Once you have selected a cartooning style then focus on the features you want to exaggerate or minimize, color, clothing and other props and accessories  Make several sketches in your sketchbook, including color choices.  Don’t be afraid to go extreme. Let your alter ego come out!
