First Things First This is Technology Education in room 113 and 114 Who is supposed to be somewhere else? Seating Charts Each student will be assigned a seat for the entire 9 weeks.
Classroom Procedures Be in your seat everyday when the bell rings. Check the board for a focus or bell ringer activity. Observe all safety rules and procedures.
Fire Drill Procedures Line up quietly and walk out the classroom door and take a left in the hallway. Walk straight out the doors and take a left. Walk across the driveway, step up onto steps, and stand “Quietly”.
Classroom Rules All School Rules and Policies in your agendas will be followed Be in your seat by the bell If Tardy - Excused Pass (4 unexcused = detention) Enter room / Sit down / Be ready for class to start Be prepared for “Tech Ed” class everyday No Flip Flops! No Gum chewing Bathroom procedures Upon dismissal (Teacher will dismiss you – Not the bell) Be Respectful / Responsible / Courteous Safety is the most important rule!

In Technology 6 we will be covering Communication Technology Designing Sketching Graphic Design Technical Drawing Manufacturing Technology Manufacturing Use tools and machines Construction Technology Strengthening Materials Plus we will be working with measuring, systems, the systems model, problem solving, and much more.
Grading You will be graded on many different things Tests, quizzes Projects Rubrics Design Briefs Class work Homework Also, 5 Points per day 225 points for 9 weeks Participation Safety Prepared On time See Daily Points Rubric
9 weeks structure (tentative) Weeks 1 and 2 Introduction to Technology, Poster Designs, Problem Solving, Systems Model, and Measuring. Weeks 2 to 4 Sketching, technical drawing Week 5 and 6 Construction activity: “House of Cards” Weeks 6 to 9 Manufacturing: “Clock Project”
