Definition: Buying Recycled Purchasing goods made of recycled materials.

EPP vs. Buying Recycled EPP:“Products or services that have a lesser or reduced effect on human health and the environment when compared with competing products or services that serve the same purpose…” (U.S.EPA)

Why Buy Recycled? It makes recycling work.

Why Buy Recycled? It saves natural resources. It saves energy. It generates less pollution.

What are the possible barriers? Cost Change Negative perceptions

Starting a Buy Recycled Program Review your current purchasing program. Phase in new, “green” products. Promote your program.
