Science elective subjects offered in Ying Wa Biology, Chemistry and PhysicsCombined Science Combined Science (Physics, Chemistry) Combined Science (Biology, Physics) Combined Science (Chemistry, Biology)

Combined Science is offered in such a way as to provide space for students to take up other non- science elective subjects. It still provides a concrete foundation in Science for further studies or careers. Students wishing to take two elective subjects in Science are recommended to take one of the Combined Science electives together with one specialised science subject.

Combined Science (Physics, Chemistry) + Biology Combined Science (Biology, Physics) + Chemistry Combined Science (Chemistry, Biology) + Physics

Curriculum There are three main parts in the curriculum of Biology / Chemistry / Physics : Compulsory PartElective PartInvestigative Study Parts of the topics in the Compulsory Part are included in the curriculum of Combined Science.

Public Examination For public assessment of Combined Science, there are three options available: Combined Science (Physics, Chemistry), Combined Science (Biology, Physics), and Combined Science (Chemistry, Biology).

For each part : ComponentWeghtingDuration Public examination40%1 hr. 40 mins. SBA10%

Students’ Questions Please introduce the syllabus. What proportion of each subject is covered? Is Combined Science (Vs pure sciences) recognized by universities? Will less be covered in Combined Science in comparison with a pure science subject? Is studying Physics, Chemistry, Biology separately better than doing Combined Science?
