First creative Assignment Using colored pencils, create an interesting composition that reflects your identity throughout the entire surface. Use icons, shapes, color, lines, and personal experiences that symbolize yourself on a 2D surface

Lines: Be detailed Show variety and movement

Explore Color. Plan Color. Create with Color

Value A change from light to dark Use multiple shades to a color

Vary your coloring strokes For deep, rich color, press hard on the pencil Layer Colors

Create a preliminary sketch showing what you will design for your final product. Planning is key to a successful product. No sketch = No final assignment Once you finish your sketch, show it to me and I will give you paper for your final design

Sketches show a general design and layout. Vary your lines and value in your sketches. The better the sketch, the better your final design will be. You are graded on your planning.

Today ’ s Goal 1) Begin stage 3 of the design cycle (CREATE). Show me your sketch design and I will give you final drawing paper 2)Start creating your final symbolism drawing

Storage -Keep all of your drawings in your portfolio. -Return supplies always, including pencils you borrow. -Keep the room clean at all times.
