What It Do? My name is Yazmeen, but you knew that. Today I will be talking to you (my audience) about a topic that is close to my heart; Break Dancing.

 Break dancing started in the early 1970’s. In the Bronx New York.  African Americas gang members substitute violence with dance, and would participate in “dance battles”.  The break dancing moves originated and developed from a James Brown move; “The Good Foot”.

 Old school breaking moves only consist of Floor Work or Floor Rocks, very complicated leg movement.  Some Head spins and Backspins.

 Nowadays there is more of a variety when it comes to break dance moves.  Such as Windmills, Broncos, L Kicks, Gainers, etc.

 “Ronnie Boy” Known as the best Bboy in the world. Member Do Super Cr3w.  Dominic “D-Trix” Sandoval. Former member of Quest Crew.

 Battle: A challenge between an individual or group of B-boys or B-girls.  Bite: Stealing someone else moves or style.  Bboy: Bronx Boy Or Boogie Boy.  Combination: When 2 or more moves executed right after each other.  Crew: A group of b-boys down with each other.

 Perfections: B-boys best moves, the move that takes opponents out.  Routine: Connected or executed movements done in a practiced sequence.  Street Dancer: Overall term referring to break, boogie and freestyle dancers.

 I don't know how break dance, but I do know why people do it. Dancers B. Dance to let out emotion and creativity.  A lot of people don’t have the strength to move like b boys do.  I have high praise for the people who push themselves to be able to do these tricks.
