MY FAMILY I am Arun. I live with my parents and my younger sister Tara. We are a small family.

My friend Rajiv lives with His parents, two elder sisters and one younger brother. They are a large family.

Tarun lives with his parents, grandparents, an elder sister, a younger brother, two uncles, two aunts and three cousins, they are joint family.

A family with parents and one or two children is called a small family. A family with parents and more then two children is called a large family. A family with grandparents, parents, uncles, aunts, children and grandchildren is called a joint family.

We must listen to our parents and elders. We must help them. We must wish our parents and others “Good Morning” and “Good night”. We can help them by doing work like dusting furniture, watering plants, talking to grandparents, taking care of grand parents and so on.

DID YOU KNOW Members of a family have a common name. It is called a Surname. THINGS WE HAVE LEARNT We live in families. We have three kinds of families- small, large and joint families. A small family is a happy family. We must help one another in a family. We must take care of the weak and sick members in the family. Our parents take great care of us.
