WHAT IS HARDWARE? Hardware refers to the set of components that make up the internal part of a computer. In case of the personal computers, it doesn’t only refer to physical internal components (circuits, wires, microprocessors…) but also to the peripherals (scaners, printer…)
TYPES OF HARDWARE We can find this ones : Input Links Output/Input Peripherals CPU (central processing unit) RAM (Random – Access Memory)
INPUT LINKS The input links consist basically, on the keyboard. (is a typewriter-style device, used to enter characters and functions into the computer system by pressing buttons) And also the mouse, (it allows us to click or point at something in the computer screen, a web or an app)
OUTPUT PERIPHERALS The peripherals are devices that show operations or works that you have done on the computer, for example… The printer, can print a document from the computer into a paper. The monitor gets information from the microprocessor and transforms it into light dots (that’s what we see).
CPU These are the components that perform the instructions and process the information. When you press a button on the keyboard it appears on the screen, right? The CPU makes it appear, making a series of basic arithmetical, logical, and input/output operations of a computer system.
Is a type of storage that is widely used as the main memory for a computer system. This type of memory is volatile, which means that it loses its information when you turn the computer off. It is one of the most important characteristics of a computer's performance. We can find types of RAM, such as:. The VRAM, Video Random Access Memory. The SRAM, Static Random Access Memory. The NVRAM, Non-Volatile Random Access Memory RAM
WHAT IS SOFTWARE? Software is the logic equipment, the concept of software includes all the informatic applicattions, like text processors, or image editors. Software is developed by different language programs that lets, us control the machine. This languages consist of symbols and sintactic and semantic rules, a programation laguage lets the software programs specify about the data on what computers must work on.
TYPES OF SOFTWARE Application systems System software (operating systems, device drivers, utilities) The database software Malicious software or malware
APPLICATION SYSTEMS Is a set of computer programs designed to let the user perform a group of coordinated functions, tasks, or activities. Application softwares cannot run on itself because it's dependent on the system software executions. Examples: word processor, a spreadsheet design and management system, a console game, a drawing, painting, or illustrating system, or a library management system.
SYSTEM SOFTWARE System software refers to the files and programs that make up your computer's operating system. System files include libraries of functions, system services, drivers for printers and other hardware, system preferences, and other configuration files. The programs that are part of the system software include assemblers (language processor), compilers (a computer program that translates a program written in a high level language into another language), file management tools, system utilites, and debuggers (remove errors).
MALICIOUS SOFTWARE OR MALWARE Malware, is any software used to disrupt computer operations, like gaining access to private computer systems. Malware is defined by its malicious intention, acting against the requirements of the computer user. Malware may be, intended to steal information or spy on computer users for an extended period without their knowledge, Hackers for example try toget into other's people computers toget information about them or moneyorjust to cause harm to them for fun, thisis why there is a group of people among the police, to detect this individuals.
THE DATABASE SOFTWARE The most important type of software is the, : This type of software lets the user to have total control of hardware, the operative systems that start to work when you turn on the computer are the database software.
