Grasslands Region By Mahdy and Logan

Animal Life Grizzly bears and cougars roamed the grasslands. There were also large herds of Pronghorn antelope, mule,deer and whitetailed deer.

Climate Winters are generally milder and chinooks are common in many places such as calgary

Bodies Of Water In some areas the rivers in the region run through deep valleys and canyons. In this region the heaviest use of water is for farming.

Natural Resources In 2004 there were about 53,000 farms in Alberta farmers depend on good whether and soil and water to grow healthy, plentiful crops

Vegetation Large areas where tall grass and few trees grow are called prairies. In the last 100 years settlement and development has changed in this region.
