Enabling Grids for E-sciencE EGEE-II INFSO-RI Remember To be authorized to use EGEE and do useful work with it (e.g. submit jobs, transfer files, collaborate) you have to belong to a Virtual Organization (VO) To join a VO you must first obtain a Grid certificate After the course: –You can get a certificate from GILDA CA and join GILDA VO: to gain more experience with EGEE technology (process takes ~2 days) –You can get a certificate from an EGEE CA and join a production VO: to participate in national or international collaborations ~ one week –You can propose and establish a new VO ~ few months of coordinated effort across sites
