WELCOME TO SKOL 2007

The Finnish Association of Consulting Firms SKOL SKOL is a professional and employers' organization for independent and private consulting companies. SKOL has a membership of 254 consulting engineering, architects and other consulting firms. SKOL is a member of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers FIDIC and also a member of the European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations EFCA. The association adheres to the principles of FIDIC and the members of SKOL are required to meet the standards of codes and practices as well as the membership qualifications of FIDIC.

The Finnish Association of Consulting Firms SKOL SKOL aims to promote professional and independent consulting engineering, to improve the preconditions of consulting and to watch the interests of the members both in Finland and abroad. The principal goal is to guarantee a high quality as well as to develop efficiency, profitability and solidity. The association highlights the quality as the main criterion in the selection of the consultant.

SKOL VISION FOR THE INDUSTRY SKOL members are essential part of client’s value chain as experts and solution producers. SKOL members produce essential added value to clients through knowledge intensive solutions that continuously improve profitability, service quality and competitiveness of both the clients and SKOL members.

The strategic themes of SKOL action programme 1.SKOL-sector is visible, appreciated and has a good image. 2.SKOL-members have skilled, educated and developing resources. 3.Consulting engineering markets are functional and competition is fair 4.Labour markets and conditions are flexible and encouraging. 5.SKOL-member companies are competitive, progressive and profitable.

MISSION & VISION OF SKOL ASSOCIATION SKOL' s mission is to improve the preconditions of consulting business for SKOL member companies. SKOL is appreciated, influential and visible interest organisation. SKOL creates competitiveness and added value to member companies in their business operations and this way suppors the vision of the industry.
