Maskara showed his concern to add point on “Health Hazard aspects” in green ICT. Mr. Anand asked him to submit document pertaining to above issue, so that it may be included in green ICT activity. –Action, Mini Vasudaven, bring table of contents and scope of TS in the next GISFI meeting –VNL is added as a supporting company. VNL has agreed to bring input on this WID for the next GISFI meeting. GISFI_GICT_ WID on “Green Mobile Charger” was in principle agreed but will be re-opened during GISFI#9 if a representative of IIIT-A is available

4 GISFI_GICT_ GISIF#8, , March 2012, Patna GISFI#8 GICT Minutes of Meeting 3/4 Energy Efficiency related questions from Ericsson –Ericsson had few questions regarding the energy efficiency activity (related to WID on “Metrics and Measurement Methods for Energy Efficiency”) and requested the meeting to note the response of membership in the meeting minutes. The questions are: 1.Does GISFI membership agree to accept dynamic measurement methods for Base-Station (GSM voice) work in Green ICT WG as high priority? 2.Is GISFI interested in taking the leadership on dynamic measurement methods for Base-Station (GSM voice) topic? Conclusion: There is full consensus i.e. GISFI members agree with both the questions given above –Feedback expected from VNL in GISFI#9 on Base-Station configurations to be used for Indian scenarios – some configurations presented by Ericsson during GISFI#7 were not relevant for India as per VNL

Prasad –Result: Noted GISFI_GICT_ “Greening the Agriculture sector by ICT”, NEC Corporation, was presented by Anand R. Prasad –The document received complete support from the membership thus the input will be added in “TR-GICT.103v100 Study on usage of ICT to make other sectors green” –A new version of TR will be prepared by NEC A conference call is planned in the week of 11 April for any ad-hoc needs or for preparing for NWG5 Mr. Dua will send the FICCI report on Green ICT/Energy to GISFI members by 5 April Action to GISFI membership on identifying other activities in India on Green ICT is still open
