Questions:

1 st Question: What is the negative effects on the human impact on the Tundra building pipe lines? 1.The negative effect are; It can pollute the water, land, or air. 2.Animals will be forced to move to new land to live. 3.Over building will become on issue once building the pipe lines. 4.Many animals can become endangered if there is a spill, or accident. 5.Humans leave a mark on the Tundra, and it will last for ages or even centuries.

2 nd Question: The benefits of producing domestic oil instead of importing it from the Middle East? 1.It would be better to not ship, because if one of the boats gets a hole there can become an oil spill; which causes animals to die or be harmed. 2.Also not importing the oil, will help make the pollution less in the air, water, and land. 3.We will not have to pay as much for sending it across the world. 4.If there is a problem in the Middle East, we will still have oil and not have to worry about running out.

Question 3: What is the safety of transporting oil in tanker ships? 1. The safety of transporting oil in tanker ships is; 2. That all ships mush have a full-on search and testing of all parts of the ship. 3. Navigation must be checked, and all controls both emergency and normal should be tested before departure

Question 4: What are the economic benefits of having local oil? 1. The economic benefits of local oil is; 2. Most of our jobs are from oil plants, local oil plants will bring more jobs to the United States. 3. The United States will get some more money to pay the national debt if there is a local oil. 4. Having local oil, can lower the price of oil in the United States

The geology issues of having an oil plant in Alaska would be: 1.Can ruin the soil, which causes pollution to the ecosystem 2. There are volcanoes, earthquakes, and glacier slides that all effect the area which the oil plant is built. Geography! Some of the geography issues are that Alaska has issues with; 1. It is the largest state, that has many different types of wildlife/animals. 2. Oil spill can make a huge impact on the ecosystem/wildlife/ and the land. 3. Do to it being a tundra climate, any effect would last for a lie time or more. 4. Alaska is half surrounded by land from Canada, but the other half is around by water. active&sa=N&biw=1366&bih=673&tbm=isch&tbnid=JxnzmM9 defpjJM:&imgrefurl= tlas/norm_map/alaska.gif&w=624&h=400&ei=h0Q_Uc7fHaGx 2QWgpYGYDg&zoom=1&ved=1t:3588,r:1,s:0,i:84&iact=rc&dur= 280&page=1&tbnh=180&tbnw=281&start=0&ndsp=15&tx=125 &ty=133 &tbm=isch&tbnid=J8KrWKtpVAJy8M:&imgrefurl= alaska-adventure.html&docid=Wv3YRU7pYbis6M&imgurl= 8Vu2HABZyjw/TaKkPvjdcwI/AAAAAAAAB8k/j61zAdPKenM/s1600/alaska%252B2.jpg&w=1600&h= 1200&ei=h0Q_Uc7fHaGx2QWgpYGYDg&zoom=1&ved=1t:3588,r:14,s:0,i:123&iact=rc&dur=553&p age=1&tbnh=183&tbnw=242&start=0&ndsp=15&tx=116&ty=60

If an oil spill happens and gets into the lakes, rivers, ocean, etc. Problems would be; Biology! Ducks wings get plastered to their body and they die. Causes birds to lose feathers and they freeze Seals fur gets destroyed and they suffer from hypothermia Marine mammals become easy prey due to the oil sticking to them, and they cant move. Fish can’t get enough oxygen/they get stuck in the oil m/imgres?q=animals+in +oil+spills gres?q=animals+in+oil+spill s&um=1&hl=en&safe=activ e&biw

Biology! If an oil spill happens and gets into the water, some of the reproduction issues would be; Eggshells become thinner. damages red blood cells. Damage fish eggs, larva, or young Organ failure can happen in mammals Contaminates the eggs of turtles. Poising young through the mother( a dolphin can absorb oil through its mothers milk) Can cause irritation to the skin, mouth, or nasal cavities afe=active&biw=1366&bih=673&tbm=isch&tbnid=oAfXmxZ4BdNlNM:&im grefurl= e/galapaguana.php&docid=hryXhx7ZZn1onM&imgurl= emy.org/science_now/images/galapaguana2.jpg&w=400&h=293&ei=jkY_U ePGELTo2gXvgoDwCg&zoom=1&ved=1t:3588,r:4,s:0,i:90&iact=rc&dur=3& page=1&tbnh=182&tbnw=253&start=0&ndsp=15&tx=123&ty=55 =1&hl=en&safe=active&biw=1366&bih=673&tbm=isch&tbni d=CVu5K4jC- _PCQM:&imgrefurl= 201_ html&docid=h_W99iKC00nKyM&imgurl= m/cnwk.1d/i/tim//2010/06/10/oil_spill_44.jpg&w=512&h=341& ei=jkY_UePGELTo2gXvgoDwCg&zoom=1&ved=1t:3588,r:13,s: 0,i:117&iact=rc&dur=272&page=1&tbnh=177&tbnw=266&star t=0&ndsp=15&tx=194&ty=51 nid=uoSzV4qA-1l5CM:&imgrefurl= fish.html&docid=MnXk67FtkM32PM&imgurl= 7A5M3iiwl64/TfjabqCqI0I/AAAAAAAAL8Y/TcfYKNPgjeQ/s1600/gulf-oil-spill-killing-wildlife-hermit- crabs_21358_600x450.jpg&w=600&h=340&ei=jkY_UePGELTo2gXvgoDwCg&zoom=1&ved=1t:3588,r:42,s:0,i:212&iact= rc&dur=397&page=3&tbnh=169&tbnw=291&start=35&ndsp=20&tx=217&ty=98 rl= true&docid=xNsM1hkIBjLWNM&imgurl= e1d35e549d26/oil5.jpg&w=350&h=234&ei=jkY_UePGELTo2gXvgoDwCg&zoom=1&ved=1t:3588,r:82,s:0,i:332&iact=rc&dur=409&page=5&tbnh=174&tbn w=253&start=75&ndsp=20&tx=32&ty=143

Ecology: Some of the ecology issues are; 1.Destroys root systems 2. Causes plants to stop growing/ less oxygen for plants and humans to use. 3. It will take decades to recover. 4. Kills or stresses plants causing new life to not reborn 5. Large oil spills coats the plant and suffocates it 6. Soil becomes less filled with nutrients and plants/ bacteria can not live/ or survive. 7. Soil loses oxygen, reduces fertile and many plants can not grow. e=active&biw=1366&bih=673&tbm=isch&tbnid=thpO6qELbqQ2XM:&im grefurl= cid=AH4EWZTVEzeCxM&imgurl= cLge207.jpg&w=400&h=300&ei=8pRAUaeSCsnW2gXulYH4Cw&zoom= 1&ved=1t:3588,r:0,s:0,i:81&iact=rc&dur=270&page=1&tbnh=181&tbnw=2 59&start=0&ndsp=16&tx=134&ty= &tbm=isch&tbnid=- OtfKq8aOdYwDM:&imgrefurl= the-name-regenerative- roots/&docid=vPNMbGAv4zlyiM&imgurl= content/uploads/2011/11/2005-X- PlantRoot.jpg&w=750&h=500&ei=UpVAUd2RBuza2wXr54GQCw&zoom=1&ved=1t:3 588,r:2,s:0,i:84&iact=rc&dur=292&page=1&tbnh=172&tbnw=248&start=0&ndsp=21& tx=159&ty=41 iw=1366&bih=673&tbm=isch&tbnid=VaJc7JFP0TlIOM:&imgrefurl=http ://depositphotos.com/ /stock-photo-Bonsai-Plant- roots.html&docid=Z-y- 9SP4yeEyAM&imgurl= 950/depositphotos_ Bonsai-Plant- roots.jpg&w=1024&h=680&ei=UpVAUd2RBuza2wXr54GQCw&zoom=1 &ved=1t:3588,r:31,s:0,i:179&iact=rc&dur=519&page=2&tbnh=179&tbn w=269&start=21&ndsp=29&tx=86&ty=103 =1366&bih=673&tbm=isch&tbnid=WfFjZ4La6eBQrM:&imgrefurl= ww.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/news/news/1555/&docid=Ck4jwyhS_ oX- WM&imgurl= gicC_800px- Roots_by_cesarpb.jpg.jpg&w=300&h=225&ei=UpVAUd2RBuza2wXr54G QCw&zoom=1&ved=1t:3588,r:59,s:0,i:263&iact=rc&dur=300&page=3&tb nh=175&tbnw=228&start=50&ndsp=28&tx=160&ty=98
