Hurrian/Hittite Myths of Creation Alalu defeated by the Sky God Anu. Anu reigns for 9 years before fighting Kumarbi.Realizing he will be defeated Anu flees up to heaven, but Kumarbi catches him, bites off his genitals and swallows them. Kumarbi has actually swallowed gods, whom he tries to spit out, but the weather god remains inside of him. He swallows something which appears to be a stone, and after much groaning the weather god emerges.
