THE AWARENESS OF GOD In this we speak not of our awareness of Him … Rather His awareness of us and our lives! (cf. Matthew 6:26-30)

Matthew 6:26-30 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 "Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? 28 "So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 "and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 "Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

THE AWARENESS OF GOD His omnipresence Psalm 139:7-12; Amos 9:1-3

Psalm 139:7-12 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, 10 Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, "Surely the darkness shall fall on me," Even the night shall be light about me; 12 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You.

Amos 9:1-3 I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and He said: “Strike the doorposts, that the thresholds may shake, And break them on the heads of them all. I will slay the last of them with the sword. He who flees from them shall not get away, And he who escapes from them shall not be delivered. 2 Though they dig into hell, From there my hand shall take them; Though they climb up to heaven, From there I will bring them down; 3 And though they hide themselves on top of Carmel, From there I will search and take them; Though they hide from My sight at the bottom of the sea, From there I will command the serpent, and it shall bite them.”

THE AWARENESS OF GOD His omnipresence His care and concern Psalm 139:7-12; Amos 9:1-3 His care and concern Matthew 6:25-26; 2 Cor. 6:17-18

Matthew 6:25-26 Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

2 Corinthians 6:17-18 Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you. 18 I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters”, Says the LORD Almighty.

THE AWARENESS OF GOD His omnipresence His care and concern Psalm 139:7-12; Amos 9:1-3 His care and concern Matthew 6:25-26; 2 Cor. 6:17-18 His protection Psalm 145:18; Psalm 18:35

Psalm 145:18 The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.

Psalm 18:35 You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great.

THE AWARENESS OF GOD His omnipresence His care and concern Psalm 139:7-12; Amos 9:1-3 His care and concern Matthew 6:25-26; 2 Cor. 6:17-18 His protection Psalm 145:18; Psalm 18:35 His knowledge of your Life Psalm 139:3; Hebrews 4:13

Psalm 139:3 You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways.

Hebrews 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

Application: Since God is aware of you and your life….

How would you feel if Jesus wanted to be your “MySpace” friend?

How would you feel if Jesus wanted to listen to the music on your CD’s or your DAP player?

How would you feel if Jesus sat down beside you at one of the movies that you go to see from time to time?

How would you feel if Jesus was looking over your shoulder while you surf the internet, and instant message friends?

CONCLUSION God is always aware of our lives (actions and speech)… …However, He is not always pleased. Approval is conditional. “Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you. 18 I will be a Father to you…” (2 Corinthians 6:17-18)
