Space Management Access the Room Use Survey System (RUSS) from the Planning Group website.

RUSS is an Online Data Collection System; it has been designed for internal use for the U of A Building Executives. This is not a public website; it has been developed to simplify and streamline our annual data collection requirements. RUSS Homepage

RUSS is customized per user User Access is limited; Username/Password for each building executive will be provided to you by the Facilities Management Planning Group. Each User’s access to building data is customized to their specific responsibilities (ie you can only edit room use information for the buildings you manage.)

The list of available “Building Names” will vary per user. Your list will be different, and MUCH shorter than this one. The “Last Modified” column will be modified this fall to include the current status of a building’s attributes, such as: Complete, Pending, Incomplete. Building Name List is specific for each User

After a user selects one of their available buildings, a list of available FLOORS for that building will appear (see above). Your next step is to select one of those floors to enter data. Select Building Name > Floor

After you’ve identified an individual FLOOR of a building, you will see a “View Floorplan” link in the upper-right. Click to open the.pdf of the CAD floorplan (via Adobe Reader) within your internet browser. Building > Floor > Room Number

Building Floor Plans Provided Each Buildings CAD drawing has been converted into Adobe.PDF format for easy, online viewing and printing. Users can use the “zoom” capabilities of Adobe Reader to review details about each building.

Saving Changes for a Room As long as you SAVE, you can return at a later date and continue entering Room Use Information.
